Under Forgotten Stars is a solo sci-fi exploration writing game.

As a Solo game, Under Forgotten Stars is a quiet experience for you alone. You will engage with the passages, prompts, questions, and rulings set up in the game to come up with a reflective and meditative game of wonder and discovery. Moreso than even other games, it is important to follow the game’s limited mechanics, as deviation can greatly change the game experience.

As an exploration game, you will be presented with a lot of exciting locations and directions. A lot of this discovery is written already, allowing you to be surprised by the world you are finding. The text is also filled with prompts, leaving it up to you to fill in color and detail to your desired level. Using randomness through tile-drawing and dice-rolling, you create a unique world to explore, find things, and re-explore. Danger is present, but loss is impossible.

As a writing game, you will draw the map you are forming, write out your answers to prompts, and, should you desire to do so, fill out pages with answers to the journaling prompts that follow each area.
