Public Games
A small game of superheroes! This game fits on the front of one page. I wanted to make a minimalistic superheroes game that could still emulate my favorite things about the genre without all the bloat and focus on specific powers that I see in most supers games. The game has never been playtested, so if you try it let me know how it goes!

Setting Up Titles On DrivethruRPG
DrivethruRPG’s submission process is very complex. A lot of people seemed to struggle with it, but I never really had any difficulty, so I wrote up a guide. It’s not especially fanciful, but it might be helpful if you want to get your game on the biggest RPG market on the internet.

An essay. Balance is often misunderstood. It is obsessed about by audiences with a narrow view of it, while it is completely disregarded by others who might seriously benefit from considering it more fully. I've developed my own understanding of the concept of balance, and I think it could really help other designers.

Monsterhearts Custom Content
Written by Avery Alder, Monsterhearts is a PbtA game about angsty sexy high school monsters, and I love it immeasurably. I've made a bunch of custom content for it. All of it is free and only available here.
The Doppleganger is all about self-loathing, hero worship, and the vicious cycle that those two traits lead to. The Doppleganger can become the very people they idolize, and in doing so discover that they're not a hero: they're just a person like you.

The Ghost Skin (tLBP Version)
The Ghost is one of the official core skins, but it didn't really go about its themes or mechanics in a way I personally found fulfilling, so I redesigned it to suit my needs. This version of the Ghost focuses on how, despite trying to be caring and empathetic, helping people is still a move in the social environment and hierarchy. It uses Conditions in a novel way, and tries to fight the tendency toward passivity and inaction that the original Ghost has difficulty with.

The Ice Queen Skin
This is a reskinning of Orion Canning's Skin The Firestarter, altered by Rebecca Gold and laid out by me. Where the Firestarter is consumed by their fickle hatreds, the Ice Queen is cold and indifferent in a way that's almost intoxicating.
~~~~~~~~
The Fledgling Skin
A collaboration with Rebecca Gold. We like Vampires, but media has a bunch of depictions of vampires that don't really line up with the official Vampire skin. The Fledgling is a young vampire, not yet in control of the powers they now have or the new urges they're feeling. They deal with the high of power and the lows of need in a different way than the addiction cycles of The Ghoul or The Infernal.
The Witching Hour of New Year's Eve
A Monsterhearts quick-start scenario about a New Year's Eve party hosted by a central character named Darren that all the players have their own complicated relationships with. For 3 or 4 players and an MC.
The Quiet Tower
The Quiet Tower is a Story of Hubris and Creative Differences.
Inspired by Avery Alder’s The Quiet Year, which is a mapmaking game about a community facing hard times. This game is about building something ambitious, at first together, and then in spite of each other, until it all falls down. Like The Quiet Year, this game is played with a large sheet of paper everyone will be drawing on. Unlike The Quiet Year, it is also played with a Jenga tower.
The Quiet Tower is GMless, for 1 or more players, and takes 4 hours roughly. It is inspired by Avery Alder’s The Quiet Year, Epidiah Ravachol’s Dread, and The Tower of Babel.
Remember Us.
Remember Us is a GMless game for 3 players about the deteriorating recording left by the last survivor of a doomed expedition to a place that defies common sense. Played in the dark as the lights flicker out, the game is inspired by House of Leaves, TANIS, and Annihilation. It is about that feeling of stepping into the unknown and, as soon as your’re too far to go back, you’ve bitten off more than you should’ve.
Legend of the She-Ra
This supplement to Legend of the Elements 1e hacks the game to apply to the amazing show She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. Set in-canon, this full hack contains a brand-new Episode system, easy pre-gen setups to play the show’s characters, and a streamlined presentation of the base system. You’ll need Legend of the Elements for explanation of some mechanics (though honestly, if you have PbtA experience, you can figure it out).
Spoiler Notice: The brunt of the game is written up through Season 2, but there is an Expanded Game section in the back that spoils some Season 4 stuff.
Bootstrapping
Bootstrapping is a 2-player card-based story game about the accidental creation of a sentient AI and its path to omnipotence, as seen through its interactions with humanity. It is a game about Values, teaching, and the impact of nurture versus nature. It will take 1 to 2 hours.
Despite this brief blurb, I consider Bootstrapping my masterpiece.
